Interactive Design Display
This exhibit on interactive design is currently up in the corporate HGTV office. The focus in on a Current Trend.
The interactive display as seen here features a wall painted entirely with thermochromic paint. The black pigment of this paint turns clear when the temperature reaches 83 degrees fahrenheit.
The molo soft block is also seen here, which is a paper chair element which can be moved and changed to the user’s whim.
Inset in the wall is an iPad, which contains not only content about interactivity but also the ability to access information quickly.
HGTV Iconic Design display I designed for Spring of 2011. Check it out! This display is created to enable viewers to become familiar with important eras or pieces of design that have been coined Iconic through time.
I chose to focus on the Panton chair because I felt it addressed the three main characteristics that are present in iconic design: It was Revolutionary (through manufacturing techniques, materials or form), Versatile ( present in a multitude of settings, design styles, and eras), and timeless (an icon survives as the design styles change throughout time).
so this is something I have been working on at work!
